We’ve been getting a lot of great farmer candidates just by word of mouth. Someone just gave a suggestion for us to check out Sustainable Food Jobs. They are creating a database of, well… sustainable food jobs, so that people no longer have to slog through general non profit sites or gardening websites. It’s a great idea, and I hope word gets out to enough people that they grow into a go-to place to food jobs. If anyone else knows of a similar resource please post it in the comments!
For anyone interested, Metro Hort is dedicated to horticultural/landscape jobs in NYC and the tri-state area. Would be cool if it were expanded to include farmers as well.
