Week 6 of the CSA coming to you on this beautiful summer day. We are happy to be adding a few new items, which will become regular parts of the shares this season! This is also the first week of our cut flower shares for those few lucky members who have signed up. Above are some photos of our distribution today. Happy farmer and happy members!
Farm life has been busy! Farmer Sean and many friends have been working hard to stay ahead of the weeds, trellis the tomatoes, and keep planting new crops. The winter squash is spreading out over the earth and flowers are starting to bloom in abundance as hummingbirds fly through the fields. This farming life is quite beautiful! We hope to see you here on the farm soon!
This week’s share:
Fresh Garlic
Basil
Lettuce
Beets
Carrots
Zucchini
Swiss chard
shelling peas
We suggest making a small batch of pesto with the basil and garlic!
The beets, carrots, zucchini, chard and peas are delicious sauteed together. We love it super buttery over white rice, sometimes with duck eggs! We continue to request your feedback on our offerings, and are excited to offer green beans, sun gold cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers soon!
May your summer days be filled with wildness. We have plenty here on the farm awaiting your presence.
