Growing heart farm is looking for a farmer or farming team for their 40 acre farm in southeast Dutchess County 75 miles north of new york city. Their mission is to connect city dwellers to sustainable living and farming. In addition to hosting farm events including farm to table yoga dinners and music festivals they deliver 55 CSA shares to new york city & brooklyn weekly and sell at the bronxville market on saturdays. This year we grew just under 1.5 acres of vegetables with a BCS, hand tools, a drip irrigation system, and two small greenhouses – 1 which is wood heated and connected to the farmer’s residence. The farm is walking distance from the metro north train with onsite housing. They are entering their 4th year of operation and have the full small scale homesteading infrastructure in place.
